Tips From Us at Oney's:

The following tips are here to make your Oney's experience more enjoyable and safe for you and your family:

  • NO AXES OR CHAINSAWS - If you don't have a saw, we will provide you with a bow saw to cut down your tree (with a deposit of a photo ID or $10)

  • The fields may be muddy, plan ahead by wearing clothes and shoes that can get dirty. However, we recommend boots.

  • It can be colder & wetter out here in the country than in the city. Bring an extra jacket, sweater, pair of gloves, or hat just in case.

  • It helps to bring a tarp to wrap your tree while transporting it home. This not only protects your vehicle, but helps your tree retain moisture, which extends its life. Also, it is useful for use as a sled for dragging your tree in from the fields.

  • You are welcome to bring your dog, as long as they are on a leash at all times.

  • If you are bringing children, bring a sled or wagon; their little legs wear out quickly.

  • Allow plenty of time for your visit. Too many people arrive late in the day and are rushed to find a tree. Remember that it starts getting dark by 4 pm in the winter and that we suggest that you allow at least 1½ hours for your visit.
