Oney's Tree Farm and Nursery

We are the growers of quality trees, evergreens and shrubs. Since we are located only seven miles west of Rt. 47, we are easy to find and convenient for Chicago, Rockford or Milwaukee clients. Delivery and planting is available for an extra fee.

These plants survive best if planted in spring or fall. Therefore, we are open for retail sales April 1 - May 31 and again Sept 1 - Sept 30. Our hours are 9am - 4pm Monday through Saturday.

Why Should You Landscape Your Home?

First off, you should do so for your own comfort and enjoyment. Your outside space is an extension of your home and of your personality.

The second reason is that good landscaping can increase the value of your home by 20% and ensures that it will sell quicker than others. But to achieve this; you can't just plant without doing any planning.

·         Make sure each plant is a quality item, it shows!

·         Make sure that each plant is located in the correct environment (i.e. :sun, shade, moist, dry)

·         Design areas to plant that:

o        Provide privacy & noise reduction

o        Offer shade to cool the house in the summer

o        Give protection from the wind, to keep it warm in the winter

o        Require a minimum of resources as well as maintenance

·         That plant may look great in the pot at the nursery, but you need to know if its going to grow larger than your house!

·         Our staff will be happy to recommend a layout for you based on our 20+ years of experience

·         Bring pictures and measurements of the area(s) that you’re going to be planting in
